Ashes and Snow...
I saw this over at Ruthie's wonderful blog, A Faerietale of Inspiration and followed her links to the Ashes and Snow Website. Browsing the site moved me to tears in ways I cannot begin to express. The deep, deep longing for something lost, a knowing that has not been passed down, a way of being we've forgotten. A homesickness and a longing to return from exile...from ourselves. Here is a taste from Youtube, but the online exhibition is so much more. Go visit and be amazed.

BREATHTAKING VISION HERE. THANK YOU FOR POSTING. I AM FASHIONING A POST TO BRING THE VISION TO MY SMALL COMMUNITY WITH GRATITUDE TO YOU.
I can't thank you enough for sharing this. I see it as a message of hope for what we could become. I feel that there is a growing desire for change. Perhaps we could make this happen by losing what we believe about ourselves as a species and opening up to the wonderful beings that we could become.
Love and Light
Whenever the world gets too hard I have found great solace wandering in the Ashes and Snow website, I must buy their DVD!
Extraordinary! When i first saw the photograph of the little girl leaning her forehead against the elephants head (several years ago) I was also moved to tears. Thanks for posting the videos. I enjoyed listening to the interview and agree that during crisis one's mask falls and one reveals one's authentic self.
I posted some beautiful photographs on my Tumblr blog which i found here.

thank you! I understand your longing - It's like I've lost a language and have heard a few words that I'm almost sure I know - that is a beautiful film.
